Dr. James Bray is a Senior Lecturer in Sport Nutrition & Physiology at the University of Hull's Faculty of Health Sciences, within the School of Sport Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences. He joined the university in 2009 as a laboratory technician and pursued a part-time PhD, completing it in 2018 on the topic of training load and neuromuscular fatigue in cricket fast bowlers. His academic career began as a lecturer in 2018, and he was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2024.
