Charlie Simpson is a Senior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Science at Oxford Brookes University's School of Sport, Nutrition and Allied Health Professions. He serves as Course Leader for the SENr accredited MSc Applied Sport and Exercise Nutrition program, teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate modules in exercise physiology and nutrition.

He specializes in rowing performance analysis, examining how diet and training affect stroke technique through instrumented rowing ergometers and wearable technology as part of the Sport, Exercise and Physical Activity Research Group (SEPARG).
