معرفی
Dr. James Bray is a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in the Maiden Lab at the University of Oxford. His research focuses on bacterial genomics, particularly bacterial species identification using ribosomal multilocus sequence typing (rMLST). He curates the rMLST scheme and associated databases to enable accurate taxonomic classification of bacterial isolates.
His work includes phylogenetic analysis for taxonomic investigations, defining ribosomal sequence types for rapid species identification, and maintaining a 'one-click' species identification server. He collaborates on large-scale genomic projects with the Maiden Group, focusing on pathogens like Campylobacter, Neisseria, and Streptococcus. He manages data exchange between sequencing centers, laboratories, and the ENA Sequence Read Archive (SRA), with assembled genomes accessible via PubMLST.
