James Boyd is a Lecturer in Dance at Troy University with a BFA in Dance and Choreography from SUNY Purchase College. He is currently pursuing an MFA at Jacksonville University. Boyd has performed professionally with artists including Elton John and Lady Gaga, and appeared on So You Think You Can Dance and America’s Got Talent.
His work integrates performance, choreography, and community arts advocacy. Boyd founded Art In Flight Inc., a nonprofit supporting Northeast Florida arts organizations, and serves on multiple arts boards. He is an international faculty member for Manhattan Dance Project and previously served as Artist-in-Residence at Jacksonville University.
