Jakub Janeta is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Commercial Law, Insurance and Industrial Property, Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Lodz. He is also a legal counsel and partner at JJW Janeta i Wspólnicy Law Firm. Dr. Janeta completed his doctoral studies in law and has been actively contributing to both academic and professional legal fields.
His educational background includes studies at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen, Germany as part of the Socartes/Erasmus program. He completed his judicial training at the District Court in Lodz with high marks.
Dr. Janeta's primary research interests focus on commercial and economic law, with particular emphasis on corporate law and the legal aspects of establishing and operating a business. His research also encompasses bankruptcy and restructuring law. He is the originator and co-organizer of the Corporate Law Forum, one of the largest academic conferences on corporate law held annually at the University of Lodz since 2010.
His scholarly work demonstrates a consistent focus on corporate entities, particularly partnerships and limited liability companies, with numerous publications analyzing Polish commercial law in relation to European standards. His recent work has increasingly addressed cross-border corporate issues and legal succession in commercial partnerships.

Dr. Janeta actively supervises and reviews numerous master's theses, including award-winning works in national competitions. He also organizes academic events, most notably the annual Corporate Law Forum.
His professional activities extend beyond academia through his partnership in a law firm, where he applies his academic expertise to practical legal issues, particularly in corporate law matters.
