Jakub Szczerbowski serves as a university professor at the Department of Jurisprudence Methodology and Interdisciplinary Research within the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Lodz. He holds the position of Head of the Department of Jurisprudence Methodology and Interdisciplinary Research at the Institute of Comparative and Interdisciplinary Legal Research.
His research focuses on emerging legal domains with particular emphasis on technology regulation and economic perspectives of law. Key areas include:
- New Technologies Law covering digital regulation and AI governance
- Economic Analysis of Law examining cost-benefit frameworks in legal systems
- Comparative Law studying cross-jurisdictional legal frameworks
As an active legal practitioner, he maintains dual roles in academia and professional practice as a certified legal advisor (Radca prawny). His scholarly contributions center on publications in new technologies law.
