Jakub Baranowski is an Assistant Professor of Law and Administrative Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Szczecin. His roles include teaching administrative law subjects, coordinating Erasmus+ programs, and advising student organizations. He holds a Master of Law degree from the University of Szczecin (2018) and is pursuing doctoral studies under Prof. Daniel Wacinkiewicz.
His research focuses on participatory budgeting, administrative procedures, data protection, and municipal governance. Key areas include constitutional aspects of citizen budgets, climate policy implementation through participatory mechanisms, and legal protections in administrative processes.
Professionally, he served as a municipal employee in Szczecin City Hall (2019–2021), managing the citizen budget, and currently chairs the Szczecin Citizen Budget Advisory Board. Academically, he coordinates international programs, advises the Administrative Scientific Circle, and oversees the virtual reality simulation classroom.
His recent publications analyze pandemic impacts on participatory budgeting, constitutional frameworks for audit chambers, and environmental policy through participatory mechanisms. He actively participates in doctoral workshops and serves on multiple university committees related to rankings, international cooperation, and Norwegian law studies.
