Jaimee Mallion is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology and Chartered Forensic Psychologist at the University of Kent. She serves as Course Director for BSc Psychology (Forensic Psychology), Module Leader for 'Psychology of Feelings & Clinical Approaches in Forensic Psychology', and Co-chair of the Disability Network (D-Net). Her research focuses on applying the Good Lives Model to offender rehabilitation, particularly in gang membership contexts, and investigating how unmet human needs influence criminal behavior. She also explores public health interventions, hate crime, and assisted dying ethics.
Education includes a BSc (1st Class) in Psychology from the University of Kent, followed by an ESRC-funded MSc (Distinction) and ongoing PhD in Forensic Psychology. Previous roles include Lecturer at the University of Kent (2017–2020) and internships at NHS and Kent.
Research interests span gang dynamics, evidence-based forensic practices, and strength-based rehabilitation. Her work contributes to UN SDGs related to quality education and reduced inequalities. She has organized public engagement events on topics like digital-age youth and forensic approaches to violence.
Her articles address public health challenges, custody interventions, and pandemic impacts on carers. Collaborations involve NHS, police, and community stakeholders. She advocates for interagency collaboration in tackling recidivism and health disparities.
