YIANNA ARMOSTI

Dr. YIANNA ARMOSTI is an Associate Lecturer in Forensic Psychology at the University of Central Lancashire Cyprus (School of Sciences) and a Senior Forensic Psychologist at Forensic Psychology Practice Ltd. She holds a ForensicPsyD from the University of Birmingham (2017), an MSc in Forensic Psychology from the University of Kent (2012), and a BSc in Psychology from the University of Cyprus (2010). Her academic roles include module leadership for Forensic Risk Assessment and course leadership in forensic programs.

Her research focuses on assessing violence/sexual re-offending risk, neuro-developmental disorders in offenders, public attitudes toward sexual offenses, and managing offenders with personality disorders. She has coordinated multiple research projects, including studies on rape myth acceptance and perceptions of sexual harassment, funded by institutions like the University of Birmingham and Kent.

Dr. Armosti is a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society’s Division of Forensic Psychology, a registered Forensic Psychologist with the Health & Care Professions Council (PYL 34317), and holds EuroPsy certification. She provides clinical leadership for offender personality disorder pathways in Derbyshire and Leicestershire and has delivered CPD training on topics like 'Personality Disorder Treatment' and 'Neuro-developmental Disorders in Offenders.'
