Gaye Ildeniz

Dr. Gaye Ildeniz is a Research Associate at the School of Psychology, University of Kent, specializing in forensic psychology and sexual offending research. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Essex, an MSc in Forensic Psychology from Kent, and a PhD in Forensic Psychology.

Her research explores the Dangerous World Implicit Theory, analyzing its role in sexual offending against children and its overlap with criminogenic constructs. Recent work involves technology-enabled psychometric tools for YSC Consulting in partnership with Kent.

As an Ad Hoc Reviewer for Sexual Abuse and editorial board member for Psychology, Crime & Law, she contributes to academic discourse on sexual violence and offender psychology. Her publications span forensic psychology, online safety, and behavioral frameworks.

Previously, Gaye worked with the Probation Service and gained counseling qualifications, applying her expertise in third-sector mental health roles. She is actively involved in multidisciplinary research partnerships addressing child safety and leadership development.
