Jagan Krishnan is a Professor and Merves Senior Research Fellow at Temple University's Fox School of Business, Department of Accounting. He serves as Director of the Ph.D. concentration in Accounting and teaches auditing at undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. With over 30 years of experience in auditing education and consulting, his work bridges academic rigor and industry practice.
- Education: MBA and Ph.D. from The Ohio State University
His research examines audit quality, corporate governance, auditor litigation, and ESG/CSR initiatives in accounting firms. He has published extensively in top-tier journals like The Accounting Review and Journal of Accounting Research, focusing on regulatory impacts and auditor behavior.
Recent publications analyze political connections in auditing (2025), PCAOB personnel dynamics (2024), and employee satisfaction effects (2022). His work also explores going concern reporting, internal control disclosures, and audit firm reputation.
