Ling Lisic

Ling Lisic is the Wayne E. Leininger Professor in the Department of Accounting and Information Systems at Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut and previously taught at George Mason University. Her research integrates economic and behavioral theories with practical and policy implications, focusing on auditing, ESG/CSR/sustainability/climate issues, financial accounting, and international accounting. Methodologies include archival and qualitative approaches.

Dr. Lisic has published nearly 20 papers in top-tier journals like The Accounting Review and Journal of Financial Economics, ranking #11 globally in accounting research productivity (BYU rankings, 2017-2023) and achieving top 0.3‰ SSRN download status. She serves as Senior Editor of Journal of International Accounting Research and sits on editorial boards of The Accounting Review and Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory.
