Jade Catterson holds the position of Assistant Professor (Academic) at the CEES School of The Environment. Her expertise spans environmental sustainability, water management, and education systems with a focus on Uganda and hazard-prone regions. She has contributed to projects like the 'Strategies for sustainable water resources management in Uganda' (2021–2025), acting as a Co-Investigator.

Research interests include sustainable water management, curriculum development in education systems, and public perception studies. Her work addresses challenges in Uganda’s water resources and integrates game-based learning for student awareness. Recent articles explore nature-based coastal solutions in the UK and contaminants in Lake Victoria.
Awards include the Collaborative Online Learning Grant (2020) and Exceptional Performance Award (2020). She has delivered invited talks on sustainability and environmental media, and collaborates on global projects to bridge education and environmental resilience.
