Dr. Jacqulyn Williams serves as an Associate Professor and Head of Teaching, Learning, and Strategic Initiatives at VCUarts Qatar. Her roles include overseeing information literacy education, library services, and strategic initiatives. She has extensive experience in academic librarianship, particularly in international settings, and leads efforts to advance equity in publishing practices through her editorial role at Communications in Information Literacy.
Education:
- PhD in Higher Education (Lancaster University, 2021)
- Master of Library and Information Sciences (Rutgers University, 2005)
- Bachelor of Arts in English (Douglass College, 1994)
Research Interests: Library leadership, high-impact educational practices, global competency, and collaboration in cultural heritage. Her work emphasizes user-centered services and the evolving role of academic libraries in fostering student success.

- Faculty Award for Distinguished Service (2021)
- Most Valuable Member of VCU’s REAL Council (2021)
Advising & Grants: Led the REAL Curriculum Committee to review experiential learning proposals and secured grants for educational research. Her 2019 Education City Alumni Survey Report provided strategic insights for Qatar Foundation.
Labs/Teams: Oversees VCUarts Qatar Libraries and collaborates with the Qatar Teaching and Learning Forum to design cross-campus initiatives like Maintaining Engagement in an Online Environment (2020).
