Jacques Amar is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Toledo, specializing in computational materials science and surface physics. He earned his PhD from Temple University in 1985.

- Epitaxial growth mechanisms
- Semiconductor defect diffusion
