Jacquelyn Sernau is an Assistant Professor in the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, with over two decades of experience in literacy education. She currently coordinates the Foundations of Reading Test (FoRT) program and teaches courses in reading education, while also contributing to campus initiatives through roles as Academic Advisor and Social/Culture Committee member.

Her research focuses on reading development, literacy leadership, and parent engagement, with an emphasis on practical applications in K-12 education. Jacquelyn actively collaborates with the Boys and Girls Club to rebuild literacy labs, aiming to expand community access to literacy resources.
She has presented at the National K-8 Literacy and Reading Recovery Conference (Lit Con) in Columbus, OH (2022) and maintains professional memberships with the International Literacy Association and Wisconsin State Reading Association.
