Jacqueline Parkes

Jacqueline Parkes is Professor in Applied Mental Health at the University of Northampton, leading research strategy across nursing and midwifery teams. Her research evaluates service provision in school/district nursing, young people's health needs, and psychological distress in secure psychiatric settings. She serves on multiple steering groups including Regional Personality Disorder and Health-Criminal Justice groups.

Her research focuses on dementia care pathways, post-diagnostic support for young-onset dementia, and community-based interventions. Current projects include developing dementia training frameworks, digital tools for cognitive decline, and memory hub evaluations.

As Faculty Lead for Interprofessional Education, she coordinates curricula across 16 health and social care programs. She teaches forensic mental health, research methods, and service evaluation.
