Jacque Giacone is a Lecturer in the Department of Nursing at Southern Illinois University's School of Health Sciences. She joined the faculty in 2022, bringing extensive clinical experience from Southern Illinois in diverse nursing roles, including Med/Surg, Cardiac Step Down, Dialysis, and Oncology units. She holds an Associate Degree in Nursing from Rend Lake College, a BSN, and an MSN from McKendree University.
Her professional interests include advancing BSN education as the entry-level standard for nursing and integrating technology into clinical practice through Nursing Informatics. She received the first Daisy Award for Nursing Informatics in 2018, highlighting her contributions to this emerging field.
