Jacob Muscato

Jacob Muscato is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology at Bowdoin College. He teaches courses in introductory biology, cell and molecular biology, and biochemistry, focusing on connecting biological processes to molecular mechanisms. His research combines bacterial cell envelope biology with chemical and genetic screening for novel drug discovery approaches.

Research interests span microbial interactions across molecular, organismal, and societal scales.

His 2022 publication explores synthetic lethality strategies in antimicrobial discovery.
