Jacky Collyer is an Associate Lecturer in Music Technology at the University of Tasmania, where she also serves as a PhD candidate researching spatial composition for large-scale audio systems. She coordinates the University Connections Program for Music Technology Projects 1 & 2, and teaches FCA209 (Music and The Future). Her academic roles include adjunct responsibilities in music production and sound design.
Education: Bachelor of Music with Honours (First Class), University of Tasmania (2017-2020).
Research interests focus on spatial music, active acoustic systems, and binaural audio. Her creative work spans theatre sound design—earning the 2020 Tasmanian Theatre Award for Sound Design—and compositional projects for film, installations, and international performances.
Teaching & Collaboration: Coordinates FCJ110/111 Music Technology Projects and contributes to music production education. Active in industry partnerships through sound installations (e.g., Mona Foma 2021/2022) and film collaborations like 'AQUA: An Aquatic Community' (2021).
