Jackie Skrzynski is an Associate Professor of Visual Art at the School of Contemporary Arts (Ramapo College of New Jersey) since 2009. She holds a B.A. in Studio Art from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and M.A. & M.F.A. in Drawing from the University at Albany, NY.
Her artistic research explores the intersection of humans and nature, challenging boundaries through themes like mythology, parenthood, trophy animals, and ecological impact. She founded PUG Projects for community art installations and co-created the Silent Walks on the Half Moon collaborative performance (exhibited at SUNY New Paltz’s Dorsky Museum). Recent solo exhibitions include Natural Selection (2024) and The Witchery of Living (2023).

Her practice spans large-scale drawings and paintings on wood, addressing ecological roles of native, invasive, and cultivated plants. She has guest-lectured at institutions like Black Rock Forest (2021) and Orange County Arts Council (2022), and curated pop-up exhibitions in Newburgh, NY.
