Jackie McBride

Jackie McBride is Associate Head of Education at the School of Health Sciences, University of Surrey, with over 25 years of clinical experience in adult nursing specializing in acute medicine, critical care, and cancer care. As Practice Liaison Tutor for Locality 5, she focuses on improving patient care through innovative practice development and research-informed teaching.

Her research explores the integration of technology within clinical practice and curriculum development. Recent studies examine anxiety trajectories and quality-of-life indicators in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.

She teaches undergraduate courses including Nursing Studies (Registered Nurse Adult Nursing) BSc (Hons) and Paramedic Science BSc (Hons), bridging academic knowledge with clinical practice requirements.
