Jackie Lea

Jackie Lea is an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Southern Queensland. With over 24 years of tertiary teaching experience, she specializes in clinical practice, clinical education, evidence-based practice, and quality and safety in healthcare. She supervises PhD and Masters HDR students and contributes to research focused on rural health workforce issues and healthcare education.

Research Interests: Jackie's work addresses rural nursing, health workplace learning support, workforce development, and quality & safety in healthcare. Her expertise includes qualitative and mixed-methods research design and implementation.

Teaching: Currently teaches NUR3201 Quality Safety & Risk and ANP5001 Introduction to Rural and Remote Nursing Practice. She has extensive administrative experience as the Academic Lead in the School of Nursing & Midwifery.
