Jackie Cooper

Jackie Cooper is a Senior Statistician at the William Harvey Research Institute, part of Queen Mary University of London's Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. She works within the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre at Barts and the Cardiovascular Clinical Trials Unit (CV CTU). Her role focuses on statistical support for clinical trials, including study design, sample size determination, and analysis methodologies.

Education: MSc in Biometry from Reading University. Professional Experience: Prior roles at the Medical Research Council (MRC) and University College London (UCL) in cardiovascular research. Joined WHRI in 2016, became Senior Statistician for CV CTU in 2017.

Responsibilities include:

• Advising on statistical methods and trial design
• Developing patient allocation algorithms and randomization lists
• Writing statistical analysis plans and proposals
• Contributing to trial management and data monitoring committees
• Assisting Principal Investigators with data systems
• Performing statistical analysis of trial data

Labs/Teams: Core member of the CV CTU, collaborating with interdisciplinary research teams on cardiovascular studies.
