Professor Adam Timmis is a Professor of Clinical Cardiology at Queen Mary University of London's William Harvey Research Institute within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. His academic roles include leadership positions at the National Institute for Cardiovascular Outcomes Research (NICOR), Myocardial Ischaemia National Audit Process (MINAP), and the Farr Institute. He pioneered the rapid access chest pain clinic model, influencing UK clinical practice, and chaired NICE guideline groups for stable chest pain and angina management.
