Jack Forbes is a Lecturer in Musicology and Ethnomusicology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM), affiliated with the Peck School of the Arts. He also serves as Co-Director of the Center for Latin American & Caribbean Studies. His research focuses on Guatemalan marimba history, music and politics, and performance theory. Forbes holds an M.M. in Musicology from the University of Illinois and is a Ph.D. candidate in Ethnomusicology at the University of Florida.
