Professor Jack Anderson is a Professor and Director of Sports Law Studies at Melbourne Law School, University of Melbourne. He also serves as Director of the Melbourne Law Masters program since 2021. His roles include Special Counsel (Integrity Regulation) at Racing Victoria (2022-2024), and arbitrator positions with Sport Resolutions UK, World Athletics’ Disciplinary Tribunal, and the International Hockey Federation’s Integrity Unit. He chairs the Australian National Sports Tribunal advisory committee and advises the UNODC on safeguarding in sport.
His research focuses on the intersection of sport and law, with notable publications including Sports Law: A Concise Introduction (2023) and EU Sports Law (2018). He has held editorial leadership roles at the International Sports Law Journal and contributes to global media outlets like the BBC and New York Times.
Professional memberships include the Court of Arbitration for Sport (2016-2019), World Boxing Ethics Commissioner, and roles in disciplinary tribunals for Football Australia, Tennis Australia, and the Yarra Junior Football League. He is a Chartered Arbitrator (CArb) and accredited workplace mediator.
