Jaan Tulviste is a Researcher at the University of Tartu’s Faculty of Social Sciences, Institute of Psychology, and a Visiting Research Fellow at the National Institute for Health Development. He holds a Doctor’s Degree in Psychology (2019) and a Master’s in Entrepreneurship and Technology Management (2009). His research focuses on developmental psychology, child development, and the impact of technology on mental health. Key projects include studying the effects of digital environments on child wellbeing during the pandemic and leading the Estonian National Mental Health Study. Tulviste has contributed to over 15 peer-reviewed articles, with recent work exploring screen time’s role in child language skills and neural mechanisms of decision-making under transcranial magnetic stimulation.
Education: BSc in Psychology (University of Tartu, 2003), MBA in Entrepreneurship (2009), with additional studies at Rutgers University (USA), Georgetown University (Czech Republic), and the University of Vienna (Austria).
Administrative roles include Project Manager at the National Institute for Health Development and Chief Scientific Officer at Cognuse LLC. Active memberships include the American Psychological Association and International Neuropsychological Society.
