Jaan Lahe is a Professor of Religious History at the Institute of Theology of the Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church (EELC) and a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Tartu's Faculty of Arts and Humanities. His primary affiliations include the University of Tartu and Tallinn University, where he has held roles such as Associate Professor and has conducted extensive research in religious studies, ancient history, and theology.

- Past Roles: Associate Professor at Tallinn University (2017–2024), Research Fellowships at Heidelberg University, University of Cambridge, and others.
