Ja Young Hwang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Fashion Design & Merchandising at Kent State University's College of the Arts. She holds a Ph.D. in Apparel Merchandising and Design from Iowa State University and has taught since 2006, previously serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of Arkansas. Her teaching focuses on advanced patternmaking and CAD software like OptiTex.
