JR Walsh is an Adjunct Professor of Creative Writing at the State University of New York at Oswego. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Boise State University and teaches English as a Second Language there. Walsh is the Online Editor for The Citron Review and has been published in esteemed literary journals such as The Greensboro Review, New World Writing, and Esquire. His creative work spans fiction, poetry, and prose poetry, often exploring themes like environmental issues, human relationships, and existential inquiries.
Walsh received the 2024 Provost's Award for Teaching Excellence. His professional development includes the ACUE program, which enhanced his classroom strategies. He actively contributes to literary communities, organizing contests and live readings. Notable works include Reef population (2024 anthology) and Year five of the Franchise Wars (2023 short story). His writing frequently blends surrealism with social commentary, reflecting both personal and global concerns.
