JIA Junjun is a Professor (non-tenure-track) at the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Waseda University, with concurrent research affiliations at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (NMIJ). Specializing in the synthesis and characterization of inorganic solid materials, particularly functional oxides, his work bridges optical/electronic device fabrication and energy/environmental applications such as thermoelectric elements, photocatalysts, and piezoelectric devices. His research employs advanced techniques like sputtering and molecular beam epitaxy (MBE).
