J.P. Hsu

J.P. Hsu is a Chancellor Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, affiliated with the College of Engineering. His research spans theoretical physics, focusing on Yang-Mills gravity, Lorentz and Poincaré invariance, and cosmological implications of gauge symmetry.

Prof. Hsu has published 167 papers and 12 books, including collaborations with Dr. L. Hsu on relativity theory. His work on gravitational quadrupole radiations of pulsars and experimental tests of non-inertial frame mechanics is funded through research grants. He teaches graduate courses such as Quantum Mechanics I, Theoretical Mechanics & Relativity, and supervises Directed Research and Thesis projects.

He is actively engaged in advancing the understanding of space-time symmetries and their applications in modern physics.
