J.M. Huijser is an Associate Professor in the Photocatalytic Synthesis group at the University of Twente, Netherlands. His academic journey includes roles as Assistant Professor (2011–2020) and postdoctoral research at Lund University (2008–2011). He holds a Ph.D. (2008) and M.Sc. (2004, cum laude) in Chemical Engineering from Delft University of Technology. He also completed the Dutch University Teaching Qualification (2014).
Research Focus: Specializes in light-matter interactions, photocatalytic synthesis, and energy transfer dynamics. His work bridges molecular-level phenomena with applications in renewable energy, such as solar and wind systems.
