J.C. Abdallah is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication, Media, & Culture at Coastal Carolina University. His research focuses on the intersection of sport, media, and fan identification, particularly examining how fans interact with sports teams and each other through social media. He holds a Ph.D. in Communication (Sports Communication) from the University of Alabama (2020), an M.A. in Communication from The Ohio State University (2017), and a B.A. in Communication Studies from West Virginia University (2015).
