معرفی
J. Jiang is an Assistant Professor in Fluid Mechanics for the Functional Materials research group at the University of Twente's Faculty of Engineering Technology. Their work focuses on droplet behavior in micro-scale systems and its applications in functional material fabrication, such as printed electronics and pathogen detection.
Education:
- PhD in Biomedical Sciences (2018), City University of Hong Kong & Cornell University (collaborative program)
- MSc in Material Engineering (2015), Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences
Research Interests: Jiang explores droplet dynamics in microfluidics, aerosol transmission mitigation, antifouling surface design, and biomedical applications like vaccine-delivery nanoparticles. Their work bridges material science and fluid mechanics to develop novel functional materials.
Collaborations & Grants: Collaborated with UT spin-off IamFluidics to advance microparticle applications in bioactive material delivery. Engaged in Cornell University’s nanoparticle vaccine delivery program.
Labs & Teams: Leads research in the Fluid Mechanics for Functional Materials group (ET-TFE-FM2), part of the Thermal and Fluid Engineering department (ET-TFE).
