M.P.J. Sanders is an Assistant Professor in the Engineering Fluid Dynamics (ET-TFE-EFD) group at the University of Twente's Faculty of Engineering Technology. Their research focuses on aeroacoustics, experimental methods, and noise reduction in aviation, automotive, wind energy, and HVAS systems. Sanders holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering (2016) and a PhD from the University of Twente (2022), both within the EFD group. Prior to their current role, they served as a postdoctoral researcher (2022-2023).
Education:
- MSc Mechanical Engineering (2016), University of Twente
- PhD in Engineering Fluid Dynamics (2022), University of Twente
Research emphasizes acoustic source localization, wind tunnel testing methodologies, and collaborative projects like the Silent Approach initiative involving Embraer, NLR, and DNW. Their work bridges experimental techniques with industrial applications.
Professional trajectory includes internships at GE Global Research (Munich) and contributions to the establishment of aeroacoustic research infrastructure at the University of Twente.
