J. Christopher Moss

Dr. J. Christopher Moss is a Lecturer in the Department of Criminal Justice at the School of Arts & Sciences, SUNY Plattsburgh, where he has been employed since 2019. His academic and professional background spans teaching, research, and practical experience in criminal justice and political science, with prior roles as an academic advisor, adjunct professor, and private security professional.

Dr. Moss’s research and teaching interests focus on the intersection of criminal justice and political science, including criminology, politics of crime, substance abuse, and mental health within the criminal justice system. He has designed a course on mental health and criminal justice and presented on the politics of drug courts at professional conferences, such as the Midwest Political Science Association’s annual meeting.
