Dr. Izelle Labuschagne is Research Fellow at Australian Catholic University's Healthy Brain and Mind Research Centre within the School of Behavioural and Health Sciences. She holds a PhD in Clinical Neuroscience from Monash University and accredited psychology training from Monash/Swinburne. Her research examines social cognitive neuroscience using multimodal approaches (fMRI/EEG/DTI) with focus on oxytocin mechanisms, social anxiety, emotion processing in ageing, and neuropsychiatric disorders.
Her publication record demonstrates consistent investigation of oxytocin's neuromodulatory effects, social cognition deficits in Huntington's disease, and emotion regulation across lifespan. Current work explores epigenetic/hormonal influences on sex differences in social behavior.
