Ivan Yochev Boevski

Prof. Ivan Yochev Boevski is a Professor in the Department of Economics at New Bulgarian University (NBU) in Sofia, Bulgaria. Prof. Boevski's primary research interests span management, marketing, strategic management, customer relationship management (CRM), business strategies, environmental management, project and stakeholder management, project financing, collective action, New Institutional Economics, property and facilities management in real estate, financial innovations, and the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union. His work particularly focuses on agricultural cooperatives in Bulgaria, examining their governance structures, member satisfaction, and development prospects.

With over 100 scientific publications (approximately 70 in German and English), Prof. Boevski's recent research shows a growing emphasis on digital transformation in cooperatives, smart contracts for rural supply chains, and the application of multicriteria analysis. His work explores the intersection of traditional cooperative principles with modern business practices and digital technologies, particularly in rural and agricultural contexts.

Prof. Boevski has conducted specialized training and research at several prestigious institutions in Germany (Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Westfälische Wilhelms Universität, Universität Passau, INWENT Training Centre, Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development) and Austria (Universität Wien, Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien) between 1992 and 2020. Notably, he collaborated on a joint research project in 2007 with Prof. Elinor Ostrom, Nobel laureate in Economics.
