Ivan Nađ is a legal scholar affiliated with the University Cyril and Methodius Skopje, Faculty of Law in Skopje, Macedonia. He holds a doctoral degree in Law and is recognized as one of the institution's researchers.
His primary research focuses on legal frameworks governing private security systems across Southeastern Europe. His doctoral work conducted a comprehensive comparative analysis of regulations concerning the organization and operation of security systems for the protection of persons, objects, and enterprise property, with particular attention to the evolving role of police within these systems.
Dr. Nađ defended his doctoral thesis titled 'Private protection in Southeastern Europe' on January 24, 2012. His research examined ten Southeastern European countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Kosovo, Croatia, Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, and Serbia, analyzing how privatization processes and new threat landscapes have complicated security frameworks.
His findings indicate that despite new legislation on private protection, security levels for persons, objects, and property remain unsatisfactory across the region. He identified that physical and technical protection are most prevalent in Southeastern Europe, while integrated comprehensive protection systems remain underdeveloped.
