Ivan Miller

Ivan Miller is a Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Brown University's Warren Alpert Medical School. He serves as Director at Butler Hospital and has held various leadership positions including Director of Psychiatric Research at Rhode Island Hospital. His academic career spans several decades with significant contributions to the field of mood disorders and suicide prevention.

Miller earned his PhD from the University of Maine in 1980 and completed his undergraduate education at Brown University. His research interests focus on developing and evaluating interventions for severe mood disorders and suicidal behavior. He has made substantial contributions to understanding bipolar disorder, depression, suicide prevention strategies, and the intersection of mental health with other medical conditions.
