Ivan G. Guardiola is a Professor of Management and Department Chair of the Department of Management at the Katz School of Business, Fort Lewis College, holding this position since August 2021 with promotion to Professor in July 2023. Previously, he served as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at Missouri University of Science and Technology from 2008 to 2018.

Dr. Guardiola's research focuses on quantitative business methodologies including Operations Research, Data Science, and Machine Learning. He specializes in optimization, simulation, and stochastic modeling for complex systems, with applications in predictive analytics, scheduling, and heuristic development for operational challenges.
He has secured significant research funding from federal agencies and industry partners. Key projects include:
