Dr. Ivan Bobrikov is an Associate Professor of Physics at Dubna State University and currently a postdoctoral researcher at CIC energiGUNE. He specializes in condensed matter physics and material science, with a focus on diffraction methods for studying energy storage materials. His research emphasizes neutron/X-ray scattering techniques to analyze phase transitions in functional materials and battery electrode materials.
Education: Ph.D. in Physics (2012, Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Russia). Thesis: 'Complex magnetostuctural phase separation in complex oxide of transition metals.'
Research interests include real-time in situ/operando neutron and X-ray diffraction, microstructure characterization, and electrochemistry for energy storage. He has led projects such as 'Study of structural transformation in cathode materials for sodium-ion batteries' and contributed to instrument development at neutron facilities.
Awards include multiple annual prizes from JINR and Frank Laboratory, scholarships from L. Shapiro and I.M. Frank, and the Moscow Region Governor’s award.
He is a reviewer for journals like Journal of Power Sources and ACS Energy Letters, and part of CIC energiGUNE’s Advanced Electrode Materials group.
