Isolde Kittel-Zerer is Professor of Historical Performance Practice at the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre since 2021, where she has taught basso continuo, harpsichord, and chamber music since 2006. An acclaimed organist and harpsichordist, she directs the chamber choir 'Fontana d'Israel' and performs internationally with ensembles including 'L'Arpa festante' (1986–1991) and 'Hamburg Baroque'.
Her performance research centers on historical authenticity, specializing in:
- Baroque repertoire on period instruments (Schnitger organs, harpsichords)
- A cappella choral works from 16th–20th centuries
