Dr. Isaiah Durosaiye is a researcher at the School of Architecture and Landscape at the University of Sheffield. His roles include Deputy Director for Postgraduate Research Recruitment, Admission, and Scholarships. His academic work focuses on the intersection of ageing and the built environment, supported by UKRI and EU funding.

Dr. Durosaiye's research explores how human–environment interactions enhance older adults' health and wellbeing. He employs qualitative methods and post-occupancy evaluation to advance age-friendly design, with a focus on marginalized communities in Thailand, China, and Europe. His projects address sustainable housing, healthcare environments, and social equity in urbanization.
His recent articles highlight global housing challenges for aging populations, participatory design in informal settlements, and the impact of green infrastructure in urban areas. Themes span age-friendly architecture, cross-cultural studies, and policy-driven design, emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration.
Dr. Durosaiye has secured grants including the £100k AHRC-funded AgeingHood project and £30k follow-on funding for impact creation. His prior projects include the €1m ESRC-funded ODESSA (China/UK) and EU-funded OIKONET.
He teaches Research Techniques and contributes to the MSc in Sustainable Architectural Studies. His professional memberships include the British Society of Gerontology, Gerontological Society of America, and AGE Platform Europe.
