Isabelle Zinsmaier

Isabelle Zinsmaier is an artistic and scientific researcher at the University of Music and Theatre Rostock, working on the third-party funded project „Fokus Stimme“. She previously served as a research associate at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, exploring transnational and postcolonial memory culture in theatre productions as part of her doctoral work in the Graduiertenkolleg „Zeugenschaft“. As a theatre educator, she collaborates with Corina Liechti on projects for diverse age groups at institutions like the Schauspielhaus Zürich and Junges Theater Graubünden. She is a core member of the zaungäste collective, developing choral theatre works at venues including the Mousonturm Frankfurt and Hessisches Landestheater Marburg since 2013.

Her educational background includes a degree in Applied Theatre Studies from Justus Liebig University Giessen and Theatre Pedagogy from the UdK Berlin. She contributes to academic circles as a member of the Society for Theatre Studies (GTW) and co-editor of the anthology „Zeitgenössische Theaterpädagogik: Macht- und diskriminierungskritische Perspektiven“.
