معرفی
Isabelle RAGNARD is a Senior Lecturer in Medieval Music at the University of Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV), UFR of Music and Musicology, where she has been employed since February 2005. She also serves as Professor of Medieval and Renaissance Music History at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris (CNSMDP) since September 2011. Her academic career includes previous positions as PRAG (Professor Agrégée) at the University of Burgundy (Dijon) from 1993-2004 and as a teaching assistant there from 1991-1993.
Her research interests span multiple interconnected fields: reception and interpretation of medieval music in the contemporary era (including recordings and film music); secular song in the Middle Ages (12th-15th centuries); female musicians in the Middle Ages; music in medieval theatre; and medieval music books (codicology and manuscript use). She is particularly known for her work on early recordings of medieval music and their cultural contexts.
RAGNARD's scholarly output shows a consistent focus on the intersection of medieval music with contemporary culture, especially examining how medieval music has been interpreted and utilized in 20th and 21st century contexts through recordings, film, and theatrical productions. Her recent publications demonstrate increasing attention to gender studies within medieval musicology and the social contexts of musical reception.
