Isabelle Ouellet-Morin is a Full Professor at the University of Montreal's School of Criminology within the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. She holds the prestigious Canada Research Chair on Developmental Origins of Vulnerability and Resilience and is a member of the College of the Royal Society of Canada.
Her research expertise spans developmental psychology, victimology, mental health, epigenetics, stress physiology, and resilience research. Dr. Ouellet-Morin examines how victimization experiences impact mental health and antisocial behaviors in young people, investigating biological, hormonal, and psychological mechanisms that underlie vulnerability or resilience to adversity.
Her scientific contributions have been recognized with numerous awards including the Beccaria Prize from the Quebec Criminology Society and membership in the College of the Royal Society of Canada. She has successfully secured substantial research funding from major Canadian agencies for projects spanning 2013-2030.
