As a leader in clinical practice guidelines development, she has significantly contributed to the management and prevention of osteoporosis and fractures in Canada. Her work spans clinical epidemiology, health services research, and implementation science related to bone health.
Dr. Morin's recent publications demonstrate a strong focus on osteoporosis risk assessment, fracture prevention strategies, and innovative approaches to bone health management. Her work spans clinical guidelines development, epidemiological studies using large registries, and exploration of novel technologies for fracture prediction and rehabilitation. A notable trend in her recent work includes the development and validation of fracture risk assessment tools, studies on the relationship between bone health and other medical conditions, and research on improving patient outcomes through better risk communication and management strategies.
Dr. Morin is actively involved in clinical practice guidelines development, having led the 2023 Clinical Practice Guideline Update for Management of Osteoporosis and Fracture Prevention in Canada. She also co-leads the Risk Communication in Osteoporosis (RICO) project, focusing on improving how fracture risk is communicated to patients. Her work has significant implications for clinical practice and healthcare policy related to bone health.
Dr. Morin leads OsNet: the Canadian Bone Health Research Network, which brings together researchers across Canada to advance bone health research. Her affiliations with the Metabolic Disorders and Complications Program at RI-MUHC and the Centre for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE) provide a strong foundation for her interdisciplinary research approach.
